A woman sitting in a room beat her head while crying uncontrollably. Crying in distress she began to say,
"Meri hi galti rahi hogi..mere hi sanskaaron mein koi kami reh gayi hogi,jo vo..."

But Amidst her words her husband spoke, "Haan,tumhari hi galti thi,na jaane kya kha kar paida ki thi esi aulaad.."

(Yes,it was your Mistake..god knows,what you are before giving birth to her!)

His harsh words made her weep more. But that man, Mister Mehra only had an expression of anger.

He turned his face the other side and spoke, "Kya shakal dikhaun main sabko jaakar..meri beti,meri beti bhaag gayi,vo bhi apne sasural se,itne acche ghar se, kya kami thi meri parvarish,mere laad pyaar mein, kya kami thi use Singhaniya ke ghar mein.. kya karu main.."

(What face should I show,My daughter..May daughter ran away from her in law's house,what was it lacking in my upbringing,in my love,what was lacking for her in Singhania family..what should I do now!!)

The moment was full of grief in Mehra house,the eldest daughter of Mehra's flew off from her in-laws house after a happy Marriage of 2 years,for her affair out,leaving her family in a shame and grief.

The trouble with Mister Mehra was real, he literally loved his eldest daughter the most and got her married only after she agreed. But still he deserved this day.

A tear drop fell off his eyes, everyone else was already holding tears in their eyes. But as Rooh saw a single drop on her Dad's cheek she went to him.

"Papa.. Papa roiye mat.. Didi vapas aa jaaegi.."

(Dad please don't cry..Dii will return!)

"Kya wapas aaegi vo ladki Rooh, ghumne nahi gayi hai,bhaagi hai ghar se apne,apne yaar ke sang.." her mother weeped saying this.

(You still think she'll return Rooh..she isn't out for wandering..she flew off the house..with her boyfriend!!)

Even Rooh wanted to cry with her, but couldn't understand if she really Wanted to cry over her sister or cry just by looking at her parents grief.

She tried to hold on her mother to console her,but Mrs. Mehra fell on arms crying more.

Rooh patted on her back. And looked at her father who was really in deep thinking.

Suddenly he stood from his place and said, "I have only this last way.."

And next his eyes fell on Rooh. His sudden gaze made Rooh confused but before she could understand Mr Mehra reached her and holding her hand he asked with a honey dropping voice.

"Rooh,meri bacchi..Apne Papa ke liye tu karegi na.. Shekhar Singhania se shaadi.."
The worlds made her breath hitched.

(Rooh my dear, you'll marry Shekhar Singhania for your father right!!)

Shekhar Singhania,her brother in law, her sister's husband..they aren't even divorced till now.
Not just this,he is whole 14 years older than her.
He is someone's husband already.. how could she marry him, when she herself is a 19 year old girl.

"How can we trust your family,your daughter once again Mister Mehra..what if your daughter flew away once again.." taunted Mrs Rukmini Singhania.

Mr Mehra's head bowed in shame.

"She won't Mrs. Singhania,she is not like Nikita, I swear, Rooh will remain abide by her duties, she will turn out a good daughter in law.."

"But Rukmini who is gonna conveince Shekhar.. he loved Nikita alot.. he won't accept Rooh in his wife's place..." Said her husband, Vijay Singhania.

'This girl is young, and also the sister of Nikita,will Shekhar accept her.. it's a big trouble,that boy is already too much into Nikita,he may never love Rooh the same,or even a bit..but he is my only son,his son will only keep on our family..he needs to get a child from this girl in any way.. I can't let this girl flew off like her sister..' Rukmini thought with a long pause,her gaze not leaving Rooh.

And spoke, "I will convince my son! But Mr Mehra, I have conditions..I will accept your daughter as our daughter in law, but I won't allow her to study anymore..she has to give up on her dreams to become the daughter in law of Singhania's..."

No one spoke after her final words.. but Rooh's gaze remained on her. She couldn't believe this is the same woman she once admired for proposing her sister to study further during her wedding time 2 years ago.

And now,she is asking Rooh to break all ties with the dream she studied hard and dreamed since childhood.

Her gaze shifted on her father, he has seen her struggling, studying all day and night long. Pushing herself in all odds and finally getting a chance to study into the medical college she always wished for.

Rooh is a 19 year old girl, who just enrolled herself into her dream medical college a few months ago after her unbeatable hardwork and dedication to clear the entrance exam.
But now,her life is taking a big turn, she had barely attended her classes a month in first year of MBBS and now she is being proposed to leave that dream behind and marry..

She looked at her father hoping, he'll immediately disagree, he values his daughter's hardwork,her dreams.. but he was bound by his pride, pride to not let the family matter become a news. And that made him agree Rukmini's all conditions.

The Singhania's and Mehra's are business partners since decades, with mutual agreement from both the side, Singhania's eldest son, Shekhar Singhania was married with Nikita Mehra,the eldest daughter of Mehra's.

They were such a cute couple in this 2 years of marriage and then just 2 days ago, Nikita left everyone with a note mentioning, she has an affair out!

This broke everyone's heart, especially Shekhar's... He loved her like his every thing only to be left by her when he needed her the most..

But it was all deeds of Nikita, Rooh was innocent. She never involved too much with family nor into her sister's married life.
Being an introvert girl she never ever talked to Shekhar, all she knew about him was after overhearing her sister.

Nikita used to admire him too, everytime on her return to meternal house she would sit with her mother and Rooh talking all about Shekhar, that he is such a good husband. How he takes care of her, how he understands her, how he pampers her everything.. enough to potray him a dreamy husband everygirl urges.

This evening when Mr. Mehra agreed with Rukmini, that Rooh will leave her studies. Rooh was heart broken, she cried till night locking herself in a room but then at night she decided to talk to Shekhar.
She thought he will understand her too,just the way he understood her sister and supported her in her studies.

But she had no way to contact to him.
The families were in hurry and immediately agreed to get Rooh and Shekhar married.

The very next morning they called priest and urged the very close date. It was after two days, without hesitation they fixed marrige on that day and the houses began with preparation.

Hurriedly the secret venues were booked and wedding attires were selected.

Rooh was senseless till this time, from the corner of her heart she felt like her dreams will be shattered, what if Shekhar never gave her a chance to express, she clenched her eyes with the thought.

She pleaded to her parents not to get her married this early, but no one heard her.

"Get married for the sake of family's pride.." her parents said, ignoring her shattered dreams.

Her dream,her years of hardwork meant nothing in front of their family's pride.
What else could be more heartbreaking for a girl who always willed to make her family proud,with her hardwork...

Again I want to remind you guys, don't mix this story with romantic novels, I ain't gonna write any romantic scene.

And since my readers know I don't glorify them, I don't need another para of explanation..

This story is under construction, I don't have much drafts,so updates will take time,hope you'll understand.. and give me space to write..
